This policy states the general nature of those obligations in relation to our collection and use of the personal information of clients, third parties and individual representatives of corporate clients and third parties. Employee personal information is governed by the terms of the Use of Employee Personal Information Policy.

These obligations are in addition to other obligations to maintain the confidentiality of information about our clients, employees and third parties, and to the maintenance of effective Chinese walls in Verser.

The key objectives of this policy are:

  • to identify what constitutes Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
  • to identify the general principles governing the treatment of PII;
  • to highlight local laws with global impact; and
  • to provide guidance about the appropriate steps to take in the event of a breach of privacy.
